We are learning to read out loud and point to the words as we read them.

Wild animal tee shirts

I am learning to sketch a wild animal and transfer my drawing to a tee shirt.  I used special fabric markers to colour in my design.

Numbers to 10

I am learning to recognise numbers to 10 and place them in order.

"I can count up to 10. I know my numbers" said William

Wonderful writing

At writing time we are learning to write the first sounds in words.

"I do good pictures now. "

Alphabet

I am learning my alphabet names and sounds to help me when I come to a word I do not know.

"I can read myself" said William

Rocket ship

We have been learning about the solar system this term.  We made a rocket with paper and a straw then blew through the straw to see how far our rocket would travel.  

Phonics Time

Phonics lessons are a very important part of our Writing programme. In this photo I am learning my alphabet letters. I am making them with play doh and then telling the person next to me what the letter is.

" I do my letters. I do play doh. I did all of it."

Measuring Challenge

We were learning to compare similar objects that differ only in length. We were experimenting  with learning to measure with non-standard units.  We were learning to have an accurate starting and finishing point when we measure and use measuring language. 

"I doing numbers at the door. I know 1, 2 ,3 ,4,5."

Maths Fun

Owl Babies

We are learning to publish our writing for an audience, because we are authors. In Room 3 we try to present our work in many different and interesting ways to encourage people to come and read our fabulous stories!

Mum and Dad come to school in the dark!

My Mum and Dad came to a parent workshop at night. They tried out lots of different games to help me with my reading and writing. We even had cupcakes to eat!
